Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is useful whether you have pain when walking or after a specific sports injury. It is also useful to prevent future injuries.

We use a combination of evidence based rehabilitation techniques to get you back up and running (or walking!)

Our techniques may be used with or without orthotic (shoe inserts) therapy depending on the problem.

  • Low Level Laser Treatment (LLLT)  - a cold laser that allows light waves to painlessly penetrate the tissue and cause a physiological response. The laser stimulates the body's natural healing process and reduces pain by promoting the production of endorphins

  • Foot Orthotic therapy - Orthotics improve foot function and alignment to help treat specific foot or postural conditions. Research has shown that incorrect alignment, balance and function of your feet can lead to foot, ankle, knee and even lower back pain. Therefore, when addressing foot pain and certain conditions, your feet play a significant role in the management and orthotic use can be an important part of that .

  • Prescription Exercises - prescribed to target specific goals such as mobility, strengthening, flexibility , coordination of balance and joint positioning. Exercises are prescribed and a hand out given.

  • Taping and Strapping - used to stabilise or support injuries.
